چکیده
Understanding the daily digestive function could lead to more efficient feeding practices in farmed fish species. In this work, effect of several protocols was assessed on expression genes related circadian system ( arntl1, clock, per1 , and cry1 ), appetite cck nutrients hydrolysis try1, ctrb1, pga, atp4a, cel amy2a peptides transport slc15a1 pH, activity key (trypsin, chymotrypsin, amylase, 4C- 7C-like lipases) absorptive (alkaline phosphatase) enzymes gastrointestinal tract (GIT) Senegalese sole Solea senegalensis ) juveniles. Some tested demonstrated a significant influence entrainment peripheral oscillator. The synchrony some proenzymes with experimental treatments underline role clock regulation these biological functions. Unlike gene wherein protocol occasionally affected temporal organization, factor determinant average production and/or pattern their activities. Daily pH maintained at approximately neutral levels all GIT segments, no pepsin detected. Fish fed single diurnal meal showed lowest for studied enzymes, except suggesting an insufficient utilization ingested nutrients. Higher amylase group, other hand, implies possible activation alternative compensatory metabolic pathways. Overall, our results pointed suitability higher frequencies, especially during dark hours, aquaculture

Characterization of stress coping style in Senegalese sole (Solea senegalensis) juveniles and breeders for aquaculture
The aim of this work was to characterize stress coping styles of Senegalese sole (Solea senegalensis) juveniles and breeders and to select an operational behavioural screening test (OBST) that can be used by the aquaculture industry to classify and select between behavioural phenotypes in order to improve production indicators. A total of 61 juveniles and 59 breeders were subjected to five indi...
متن کاملDietary lipid level affects growth performance and nutrient utilisation of Senegalese sole ( Solea senegalensis) juveniles.
Over the last few years, several aspects of Senegalese sole (Solea senegalensis) culture have been developed and optimised but the dietary lipid level for optimal growth has never been determined. Hence, five isonitrogenous diets (56 % dietary protein) with increasing dietary lipid levels (4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 % DM) were fed to satiation to triplicate groups of twenty fish (mean initial weight 1...
متن کاملLectin-binding pattern of Senegalese sole Solea senegalensis (Kaup) testis.
The localization and characterization of oligosaccharide sequences in the testis of Senegalese sole Solea senegalensis was investigated using 12 lectins in combination with KOH saponification and sialidase digestion (K-s). The interstitial compartment contained all the sugar residues investigated, those bearing oligosaccharides terminating with sialic acid (Neu5Ac) alpha2,3Galbeta1,4GlcNAc, Neu...
متن کاملRole of the IFN I system against the VHSV infection in juvenile Senegalese sole (Solea senegalensis)
Senegalese sole is susceptible to marine VHSV isolates but is not affected by freshwater isolates, which may indicate differences regarding virus-host immune system interaction. IFN I induces an antiviral state in fish, stimulating the expression of genes encoding antiviral proteins (ISG). In this study, the stimulation of the Senegalese sole IFN I by VHSV infections has been evaluated by the r...
متن کاملMale reproductive system in Senegalese sole Solea senegalensis (Kaup): anatomy, histology and histochemistry.
Despite the fact that the Senegalese sole Solea senegalensis is a target species for the aquaculture industry in Spain and Portugal, very little is known about its gametogenesis and especially about testicular development. Therefore, the male reproductive system in adult S. senegalensis was described using a histological and histochemical approach. Mean gonadosomatic index was very low (0.094+/...
